Goals and timeline of the Loulan Project:

A. Saving the Desert:

The world's most dangerous "Dead Sea" will be transformed into a harmonious paradise between humans and nature.

Phase 1: In 2008, a three-kilometer sea of flowers and a seedling area were completed.

Phase 2: In 2009, 200 households of Loulan descendants were involved in a 168-square-kilometer restoration project, and a 16,000-square-kilometer protected area was completed in 2011.
